Trusting God with our resources

Speaker: Michael Clark

God gives everyone a certain pile of cantaloupes—the fruit of His blessing in our lives.  And He asks us to trust Him when it comes to managing that fruit.  But trust is not a one time choice.  It is a decision followed by a process.  Using Proverbs 3 as the foundation, Michael Clark shows us that trust is always tethered to tangible things.  And when we choose to trust God everyday with everything we have, we will discover the joy of investing our cantaloupe in his eternal work.

July 12    In God We Trust    (Trusting God with our resources)

Many of us, if asked, would say we trust God.  We trust God with our salvation and our forgiveness; our health and our eternity.  Yet, so often, when it comes to the tangible things in life, our cantaloupes, we draw the line and forget that trusting God with everything calls for action on our part.  With Proverbs 3:5-6, 9-10 as the focal passages for this message, lead pastor Michael Clark reminds us that trusting God requires us to honor God with more than just words.  And as we discover how to live trust out on the rugged plains of reality, we also discover a clear path God provides for us—a path that leads to a new level of definition and purpose for our lives.

July 19    Harvest    (The returns on generosity)

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son…” God gave.  To fully trust God with the fruit in our lives, we must first understand the fact that generosity is at the very core of who God is.  And to put our trust into action, we must reflect that generosity in our own lives.  In this message, Michael Clark shows us that trusting God means mirroring His generous nature.  And when we decide to step out in faith and generously sow the seeds of trust, the harvest of fruit He produces will be greater than we could have ever imagined—both in our lives and in the lives of those around us.

July 26    This and That    (Trusting with the tangible and intangible)

Throughout history, God has called on men and women to leave one thing (this) in order to receive another (that).  The same is true in our lives today.  But we often have to step up and trust God with the “this” without knowing what the “that” will be.  In this message, Michael Clark reflects back on the life of one of the most blessed characters in the Bible—Abraham.  And as we look at Abraham’s life and discover what it means to fully invest our trust in God, we see that the blessings God provides in return will last not only for today, but also for eternity.
